This is an update just for the heck of it.

I memorized 3 produce codes at work last night, and had only mildly grouchy customers. That beats Saturday; when I had the most obnoxious man I've ever met go through my lane. I also got a bruise down my left side from leaning on the counter beside my till. What fun.

For your amusement, I added more pics to my flickr.

I'm a big fan of lazy Saturday mornings, when only half of us are around. I played guitar, watched some T.V. (well, sort of. Rather, a DVD thing) and didn't eat any breakfast. Maybe I should get showered and dressed though. Next week at this time I'll be saying "Hi. How are you?" at work....

Grad pics are now up on my flickr. I've already snail-mailed some to some of you. The rest, you can like, request which pose; if any. (You don't have to like them. :p) I don't care. I'll probably be posting more on it mid-next week.

Now I'm off to bed early, for the first time this week. Work made me tired today since it's been such a long week. Well, only the usual number of days I guess. But it felt long.

My week thus far... Monday and Tuesday I was at [insert city here] doing the GED tests. It went quite well. So well in fact, that I finished in half the time both days. So then I went and chilled with a friend. And that was cool.

Wednesday I got shot full of radioactive stuff. It went fine, obviously. It was sort of weird though, laying there thinking "No duh, I don't have a lead apron on to protect me from radioactivity. That's already in me- coursing through my veins."

And last night some of us went to Janny, Scot and Amy's to ride horses. Mom well, freaked. "We run around trying to figure out what's wrong with your back, and you're going to ride horses!?" Actually, horse, singular. And besides haivng to use my arms to get my legs into the stirrups, (I can't lift them very far on their own) it wasn't too bad. I'm no worse off than usual for it. And I rode as much as everyone else. It was interesting though... leading the horses back to the yard, hanging our heads out van windows...

Firstly, the Back to the 50's party was not totally cancelled on Friday night. It was not as big as past years and there were no fireworks because of the rain, but it was fun nonetheless. I got pictures of it that I will show at a much later date.

Saturday was in S'toon. I got the new Frank Peretti book, Monster at Blessings. I also got my grad pictures taken that, if I'm in a good mood, I should be able to post by the end of the week. Then was my grad supper, which was fine and tasty. However, those pics (which will also be at a much later date) will be not-so-good. I was smiled out after 60 some shoots at the studio. Btw, I never did fill my "friends quota" for my supper. I decided not to invite any after getting into a fight about several of my choices. Don't you just love the irony? I didn't invite anyone to my supper! Ha! But it was all fine. Then we ran into a friend at Wally World and got invited over to her house sometime this week since she's off to California soon...

But Sunday, I must mention, saw the 2 J's, J1, and J2 show up at BLBC to wish me happy grad and be weird and all that cool stuff. Whee, thank ye. You ruleth. (KJV English, you'll notice. :p)

Anyhow, I need to run. I'm off to write the GED 8:30- 1:30 today. And tomorrow. And I must leave by 7:15. I'll also mention, I'd appreciate prayer about Wednesday, on which I am to have a bone scan. I don't really feel like having radioactive dye shot into me and I am slightly worried. Unfounded, maybe. But I'd appreciate prayer none the less. Later.

The latest idea: I have scoliosis. If I spelled that correctly. But I don't really think any of them know. Wouldn't if be great to be normal? Man... I type this as I drink fizzy calcium and mineral drink that tastes like chalk...

Anyhow, I guess the city's Back to the 50's street party for tonight is cancelled because of the rain. And that sucks. Because it's lots of fun.

And I won't bore you with details about how work is going. Becuase that would be boring. Suffice it to say, work is going very well.

I figured this place could use some colour. Like it?

Oh, and the first shift went swell. In fact, I even got an orange shirt! It's an XL, mind you. I'll attempt to cut it down before next week's shifts, but I guess I'll still be a bag tomorrow.

I get there, and about 5 cashiers were congregated around the end of lane 5 waiting for me. Laurie goes, "this is 'essy', everyone; 'elly's' sis. She knows the code for bananas."

So the first guy I put through had hair on the end of his nose, and stunk like cig smoke. Eck. So indeed, there were the grumpy, the nice, the very nice, and those who couldn't stay off their cell-phones.

I know, I know you're not supposed to try new facial products before an important event. Not only do I start work tomorrow, I have grad photos on Saturday. But I tried a new cleansing gel, used too much, and now my face is pink.

Ouch.

BE NICE TO THE CASHIERS Y'ALL.

Cause starting Wednesday, I join the ranks. 5-9. P.M., that is. And unfortunately, I do not get an orange shirt. They had no more. But anytime you see those nice, orange-shirted employees at Superstore, think of essy, and how she only gets to wear black an white.

Speaking of which, I don't have black pants, or black shoes. I'm going to RAID elly's closet.

Well, I've completed 54 of the 56 necessary pages to give up all my rights and get hired. I've signed my name so may times, it looks wrong. But I've got my SIN memorized now. So after I get the rest done, I turn them in, get my apron, bow tie and orange shirt. Whee. Then I train.

I can't help but wonder what my problem is though. I'm not excited or thrilled. Not about having a job. Not about graduating. Not about some grad party. Nothing. I'm just not.

Oh, and this week I even go to the arthritis doc. How about that for thrills?

Well, they called me back. I see Dumbell on Saturday at 11. And Lori says I sound like elly. Ack. Already, I have a reputation: elly's sis. Smile at elly's sis. *sigh*

Other than that, I'm just burning CDs. And I didn't bomb it in the copying process this time.

Well, I applied for a job.

I spent Saturday in Saskatoon. Getting ready for my wonderful party on June 18th. "This is your special night. Where it's about you." I was told. Whatever. I'm not big on being the center of attention, but I guess I can stand it for one night.

I didn't want a grad dress. For pictures, a cap and gown will do. What else would I need one for if I just had a bbq? But I was told it would be nicer if I got one. Fine. I got talked into that. Even shoes. I hope I don't hurt myself; I haven't worn high heels for years. Just runners. I'd rather have saved all the formalness for my wedding, in ten years. Then is soon enough. However, I'll end up as the belle of the ball yet, in spite of myself. (I might even be selfish and not let you see pics...)

I wanted a bbq. It's more casual, it's cheaper, and I could invite more people. I got talked into, or rather, was told, that the affair would be at a restaurant. Fine. As long as my guest list doesn't get edited too much.

Now it's depleted too. You can only invite so many. Fine. But then the ones I choose aren't good enough. You'll have to choose different ones. Oh, and they're not good enough either.

The point is, this isn't about us celebrating my finally completing this phase of my life with the people I want. Rather, it's a show. Not for essy, but how essy is supposed to be. But I don't fit into a mould so well. I wanted to celebrate with the people who matter to me. I'm not as much concerned about surroundings. But they aren't proper enough, and neither is essy.

I guess I'm quite sick of it already. And would call the whole thing off. Except I know my grandparents are pleased to be invited. So I'll do it for them.

However, I still don't know who to fill my quota with. Why don't y'all just come and bomb it? That would be cool...

I'm finally starting to get callouses on my fingers. Doesn't that rock? Da DA, da DA, da Da, da DA... too much playing that Jars intro. However, I'm still having difficulty with barring. B and Bm are getting there. Gsus? Forget it. It's like 335553, as I recall. Goodness. But maybe someday I'll be able to strum through the whole "Who We Are Instead", Jars of Clay CD. That would truly be amazing for a person like me, who's always sucked at music.

Question 1
What's the vote for a location for my grad party?
a) The backyard.
b) A restaurant.
c) A park.
I like a). Mom thinks b) or c) in S'toon would be better for the south people. *sigh*

Question 2
What's the best outfit for my grad pics?
a) A fancy grad dress.
b) Cap and gown.
c) Birthday suit.
I'm for b). Mom prefers a). *sigh* Why not just go with c)?
