There's nothing like sitting at the pc with a nice cold glass of chocolate milk after getting home from work late.

And there's nothing like a good feeling of accomplishment. Trying hard and doing well.

If there's one thing I've noticed in the past 2 and some years since getting AS, it's that it's made me more determined. More of a go-getter. Whereas before I was never very motivated or ambitious and basically, pretty mediocre, now it seems I try to put in 110% to prove otherwise. No one's going to say, "Yeah, she's a loser. She's decrepit." Maybe that's it.

All I can say is, I'm trying. To do my best. I got my marks back the other day and I managed a 92% on the Bio from this winter. And after finishing up tonight my boss told me she's very impressed. I'm doing alot of the work on my own after 3 nights.

Not that I'd say I'm cocky. I've failed at too many things for that at this point.

All I was saying was, trying hard and doing well gives you a good feeling of accomplishment.

And now I'm going to bed.

KFC had always been finger-lickin' good. Especially the gravy. Throw away the chicken and just eat the gravy. It's a fact that new KFC products are tested in Regina KFC's. I have my own theory for this. Back in the day at family gatherings when we ordered out, we never went for pizza. It was always KFC. The B family was the target market, you see. MmmmKFC. (Or en francaise PFK.)

In any case, it's finger-lickin' good.
But no, that became out of date. Too passe. And Colonel Saunder's head on the bucket, was like, so, offensive.
So then some great ad agency company thingy thought it would be great to come up with a new slogan. Like, "There's More In the Bucket." But they had a short attention span, besides the fact that all companys steadily put less and less product in their packaging, not more product.
So then it had to become "Picnic Now!"
Huh?
They also realized, I'll bet, that that one didn't make a whole lot of sense. So currently we're stuck with "The Taste Lives Here."
I'm waiting on the edge of my sofa to see what their next braindead attempt at a catchy slogan will be. Or how long it will take them to realize, "Hey, let's be retro, man! Finger lickin' good! It's so catchy!"

This morning I woke up, mentally counting floats, rolls in the safe, and making another mental list of different reports and numbers. I remembered alot, and the rest, I think, is classified info.

So, my first night of training went really well.

And for your pleasure, ell, I put up those pics.

At this point, I want to claw them stupid Ultra Speed (Ultra-Most-Expensive-Ones-On-the-Shelf) CD-RWs apart with my bare hands. Stomp them into the ground. Maybe even sue Memorex for damages.

For you see, they're defective pieces of crap that I've been fighting with for several months before I came to the conclusion, it's not my system, it's the the disks. All photos from the past several years, and many recent ones up to March and some April, I backed up, as all good people are supposed to. And poof. They're gone. At the CD's whim. 2 whole CDs and half of another, rendered unreadable. And a quick five minute job is stretched into several hours of fighting with the darn things.

Yes, another one of many examples of what a great time-saver technology is.

I saw many relatives at the grad banquet, Friday, got our table in line second for happening to have dental floss in my wallet, and heard my dear cousin is also working at an Extra Foods, the bliss.

Saturday, I got some new pics done up on my camera, for my dear Gramma's "wall of grandchildren", blew my nost numerous times and got numerous nose bleeds, played Scrabble, bought some spiffy material at Fabricland, and spent too long in Wal-Mart.

As before, I blew my nost numerous times, got numerous nose bleeds, drank much ginger ale, saw members of the other side of the family over dinner, went to WalMart to get cough candies, and 25 bucks and orange nail polish later, got some more ginger ale, and went home, Sunday.

Thus was my weekend. Pics to follow.

When I am violently beset with temptations, or cannot rid myself of evil thoughts, [I resolve] to do some Arithmetic or Geometry, or some other study which necessarily engages all my thoughts, and unavoidably keeps them from wandering.

-Jonathan Edwards
[1703-1758]

I don't know about you, but Arithmetic makes me have oh so evil of thoughts.
